LG Chem is building a new factory. Europe's largest battery electric vehicle factory will be in Poland.

Industrial Development Agency in Warsaw, on behalf of the Minister of Development, has given a permission to conduct business activity within Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN ​​Wrocław-Kobierzyce Subzone to LG Chem Wroclaw Energy Sp. z o.o., a company of the Korean LG Group. Due to the investment of LG Chem in Poland, the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in Europe will be established.

LG Chem is building a factory able to produce up to 100,000 units of high-performance batteries for electric vehicles. In addition, LG Chem has recently invested PLN 1.4 billion in LG Chem Wrocław Energy, a subsidiary of the company that manages a battery production plant in Poland. The company has also provided a PLN 2.8bn credit guarantee. LG Chem Wroclaw Energy will continue to take care of its production capacity by responding to the market demand.
