LG Chem is building a new factory in Wrocław-Kobierzyce sub-zone
LG Chem Wroclaw Energy sp. o.o. - The new entity created by the company LG Chem, begins construction of a new production plant in Wroclaw-Kobierzyce sub-zone, within Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN.
The company will invest in a new factory PLN 1.3 billion and will create over 700 new jobs.
The planned project will involve the production of advanced lithium-ion batteries for use in electric vehicles and energy storage systems. It will be Europe's first big plant producing lithium ion batteries, vertically integrated with a range of production from the electrodes, and ending with the production of sets.
